Remove leaves from the stems if desired. Wash the oregano leaves or stems and pat dry.
Place the oregano in a single layer on the mesh dehydrator trays.
Set the dehydrator to 110℉ (43℃).
Dehydrate for 10-12 hours, checking for crispness periodically.
Leaves should be brittle and should crumble easily.
Notes
For the best flavor, cut fresh oregano when the leaves are fully formed but before the flowers start to develop.Store dried oregano leaves whole to preserve the most flavor. Crumble just before using.
